In today’s Gospel from Gospel of Mark, Peter says to Jesus:

“Lord, we have given up everything and followed You.”

Perhaps Peter was thinking of the sacrifices they made—their boats, families, work, security, and old life. Like us, maybe he was silently asking: “Lord, was it worth it?”
