Today, Jesus reminds us: do not hide your light. Do not underestimate the good that God can do through you. Offer your little to Him, and He will make it enough.

Opening Line

“God can do extraordinary things through the little we are willing to give.”

In today’s readings, we meet two powerful images: the widow of Zarephath who shares her last meal, and Jesus who tells His disciples, “You are the salt of the earth” and “the light of the world.”

The widow had almost nothing left. A handful of flour, a little oil, and a son to care for. Humanly speaking, she had every reason to hold on to what remained. Yet when Elijah asked her to trust God and share what little she had, she responded with faith. And God multiplied her resources so that neither the flour nor the oil ran out.
