The message is simple but strong: God does not want a faith that only looks good on the outside. He desires lives that truly bear fruit.
Father Ruben Galang,CRS (Somascan Fathers)

A fruitful Christian life is not always easy. Sometimes loving, forgiving, and serving will cost us something. Sometimes being faithful to God means carrying hidden sacrifices, silent tears, and daily struggles. But Peter tells us not to lose heart because when we suffer with Christ, we also share in His glory.

In the Gospel, Jesus also teaches about prayer and forgiveness. He says:

When you stand to pray, forgive.”

Why? Because a heart filled with hatred cannot truly become a house of prayer. God wants to cleanse the Temple of our hearts so that love may grow there again.

Today, Jesus comes near us just as He came near the fig tree. He looks beyond appearances and asks:

* Is there fruit in your life?

* Are you growing in love?
