Wednesday, 8th Week in Ordinary Time Year II
“Jesus measures greatness not by how many people serve us, but by how much we love and serve others.”
Today’s readings (1 Peter 1:18-25 and Mark 10:32-45) remind us of two beautiful truths:

first, how precious we are in the eyes of God; and second, how we are called to live because of that love.
St. Peter tells us that we were not saved by silver or gold, but by the precious Blood of Christ. Imagine that. Jesus considered each one of us worth dying for. His love was not cheap, superficial, or temporary. On the Cross, He gave everything.
Sometimes we forget our value. We measure ourselves by success, appearance, achievements, or what others think of us. But God measures us differently. Our true worth is found in the love of Christ who gave His life for us.

And because we are loved so deeply, St. Peter tells us:
